DESCRIPTION: I managed to find free Lord of the Ring assets online, but the one I’m most pleased with is the Ring itself. There were many textures that were broken on the ring, to which I had to troubleshoot in order to fix normals and roughness of the object. I was able to link a shine to the metal along with color. Adding a diffuser and a “glow” to it with the motion of rotation.

DESCRIPTION: This was an interesting one. I managed to find a demon asset for free which was highly detailed. I used a website by Adobe to help instantly rig character assets, Adobe Animate. I added a glow affect using about 4 nodes along with a fog box to make the glow seem brighter.

MEDIA: 3D Animation
SOFTWARE: Houdini
HARDWARE: Windows 11
SPECIFICATIONS:1920x1080px
DURATION: 0’46”
CLASS: FMX 217 3D Animation 1
PROFESSOR: Graham Clark
SEMESTER / TERM: SP 24
INSTITUTION: University of Tampa
DESCRIPTION: For this one, I managed to make the colors move within the fish model. by adding the noise node, I was able to have a pulsating affect on the fish, almost looking like the scales were emitting a type of color spectrum. Changing the Lattice Warp, allowed the colors to shift a bit.

DURATION: 0’25”
CLASS: FMX 217 3D Animation 1

SEMESTER / TERM: SP 24

DESCRIPTION: For this test, I managed to get most of the fish to move on their own randomly, which was really cool as I didn’t have to add any coding to make this happen, but to mess with the settings through different translations and duplication.

SOFTWARE: Houdini
HARDWARE: Windows 11
SPECIFICATIONS:1920x1080px
DURATION: 0’2”
CLASS: FMX 217 3D Animation 1

SEMESTER / TERM: SP 24

DESCRIPTION: I was messing around with camera placing while taking a shot. I was trying to add multiple camera angles to give a more cinematic affect. But I had a fog box attached to the scene, which muddied the image quality rather it coming out smooth. The camera shot is sliding too quickly as it feels like it’s too much for the eyes.

DESCRIPTION: I was messing around with effects for the dancing yokai, wanting to make glowing spirits flying through the pagoda. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to figure out how to make them transparent and glow without breaking the modules. But I still found the process pretty cool.

DESCRIPTION: I liked the dancing notion of the bears so much, that I used the AI program called Luma AI which helped with making assets quick with textures into this project. I added different dances to add individuality with the characters and placed them in different spots. I used cooler colors to add a mystic affect.

DESCRIPTION: This is the first mini project I was told to try, using AI to generate already made assets and rigs. I created a bear man and attached a dance animation to see how the the rigged figure would move, while adding in a multiplier and a randomizer to get different results.
