For the narrative assignment, I envisioned a romance set in the 1980s. I filmed it over fall break, which gave me time to focus on capturing the right aesthetic for the decade. While I had access to some great set pieces, I didn\u2019t have high-end equipment, so I did my best with the limited tools and knowledge I had at the time. I had a clear vision for the documentary and was excited to bring it to life. I also got the chance to use a different camera for filming, and the gimbal helped capture smooth, cinematic shots while walking through the city. Despite shooting at night, the picture quality turned out surprisingly well. Overall, I was really happy with how the project came together. At the time, I didn\u2019t have many ideas for an experimental short, and looking back, I\u2019d love the opportunity to revisit and redo this project. While I was never fully satisfied with the final result, the process taught me a lot.
