Title: Prop Sword
Media: Autodesk Maya
Class: 3D Sculpting
Professor: Stephen Dinehart
Term: SP 25
Institution: The University of Tampa
Description: For the first project, I chose to model a sword from a TV show. The ultimate goal wasn’t just to create a clean 3D model, but to take it a step further by bringing it into the real world through 3D printing. I primarily used Maya for this project, as it’s the software I was most comfortable with and had prior experience using. While the final model is low-poly, I’m really happy with how it turned out. More importantly, the process gave me a much deeper understanding of Maya’s toolkit and strengthened my confidence in 3D modeling.

Title: Star Butterfly’s Wand
Media: Autodesk Maya
Class: 3D Sculpting
Professor: Stephen Dinehart
Term: SP 25
Institution: The University of Tampa
Description: For the second project in 3D sculpting, I decided to take on something smaller in scale but much more detailed. I chose to model Star Butterfly’s wand because I’ve always loved its whimsical design and vibrant colors—it felt like a fun and visually striking piece to bring to life through 3D printing. The modeling process went fairly smoothly overall, though I did run into some challenges when creating the more rounded and organic shapes. Despite the initial struggle, I was able to work through it and was really happy with how the final piece turned out.

Title: Jinx’s Gun
Media: Autodesk Maya
Class: 3D Sculpting
Professor: Stephen Dinehart
Term: SP 25
Institution: The University of Tampa
Description: For the third model, I decided to continue with smaller-scale props. With one less week to work on the project, I used this as an opportunity to experiment and test techniques for my final project. I chose to model Jinx’s gun from the TV show Arcane, diving into different smoothing techniques and learning how to create a UV map for texturing the model. Overall, I was really pleased with how the model turned out, and it proved to be an invaluable exercise in figuring out how to approach specific parts of my final project.

Title: Caitlyn’s Gun
Media: Autodesk Maya
Class: 3D Sculpting
Professor: Stephen Dinehart

Institution: The University of Tampa
Description: This was my final sculpt in 3D Sculpting. I decided to go big and detailed, really challenging myself and putting to use the skills I had devolved over the course of the semester.

Title: Final Project
Media: Autodesk Maya
Class: 3D Sculpting
Professor: Stephen Dinehart
Term: SP 25
Institution: The University of Tampa
Description: For my final project in 3D Sculpting, I created a poster that combined my two earlier sculpts. This approach allowed me to showcase some of my strongest work from the course using a mixed media format, bringing together digital and visual elements in a cohesive presentation.
