Sofia Whelchel is pursuing a BFA in Animation with a minor in New Media at The University of Tampa. Inspired by animation and video games as a kid, Sofia knew she wanted to pursue a degree which would give her the skills to create the same experiences that shaped her childhood. Her time at UT has given her the opportunity to experiment with 2D and 3D animation, creating short animations and 3D models. Sofia has also written multiple short scripts which have sparked a new passion for screenwriting. Sofia wants to push her career further into 2D layout and storyboarding.
