DESCRIPTION: The class came together to form a production crew to remake the Forrest Gump Park Bench scene. Using the jib and the Red the camera team did their best to mimic the movement in that scene. When the project was completed on location, I collected the files and imported them into Premiere. I then color corrected it, synced the sound, and created title cards.

DESCRIPTION: This is the first class shoot that we did on location. The goal was to recreate this scene from the film Challengers. I was the producer, which helped secure the location, and it was a huge help from the Athletics department to allow us to use the tennis courts. On set, we used the red camera on a dolly as well as the jib which allowed for the mimicking of the shots in the original scene of the Challengers film.

I went to Home Depot to get PVC pipes, joints, and wheels to help me create this mechanism to accomplish different movements. I specifically created this piece, to help with low pans or dolly’s. I learned that bigger wheels would have made a difference and allow it to work on all surfaces.
